IMPS in No-Parking Enforcement
  • IMPS is installed at the roadside to monitor the no-parking zone. 
  • IMPS license plate reader automatically reads plates of vehicles in no-parking zone.
  • IMPS No-Parking Enforcement software keeps a record ofvehicles in the no-parking zone. 
  • Vehicles that remain in the zone longer than a grace period are detected and records retained for enforcement action.

Normally, only broken down vehicles are allowed on expressway shoulders. In Singapore however, many vehicles wait at the shoulders for the expiration of the Area Licensing Scheme when entry into downtown area is toll free.

Yellow boxes or jam-busters (as known to New Yorkers) are traffic junctions where through traffic must ensure that they pass completely through the junction when the lights turn red. Vehicles left in the junction area after the lights turn red are deemed to have committed an offence.

  • In sticker or coupon based toll collection system, drivers must purchase stickers or coupons which must be displayed at the windscreen for entry into toll areas. 
  • IMPS vehicle detection software can automatically capture the windscreen image of every or random passing vehicle. 
  • Such images may be screened at some back office to identify offenders. Images may be used as evidence in enforcement action.
