Overview
WinDriver is a C/C ++
device driver development toolkit designed to enable creation of a PCI/ISA/EISA
based device driver in an extremely short time. WinDriver eliminates the
need to be familiar with kernel programming and helps the developer create
the driver in the User mode. The code can be used on all the operating
systems Windows 95 / 98 / NT3.51 / NT4.0 Windows CE and Windows 2000 without
the need to recompile. – i.e. write once, use on any of these platforms.
WinDriver Wizard
The WinDriver Wizard is an excellent
start up tool to writing a device driver. The Wizard performs the twin
tasks of diagnosing your card, and generating a code based on the diagnosis.
This code acts as an excellent framework for your device driver providing
you with special access functions to all of the card’s resources that you
specified from within the Wizard’s user interface. This tool is included
with WinDriver at no extra cost.
